Political Bullshit

Posted by divinorum - October 5th, 2014

My opinions on politics are irrelevant but I’m going to talk about them anyway. I cannot stand people who follow the ridged, hypocritical ideology of the conservative. Well, I can stand them, I guess, but I do not agree with many of their beliefs. I think that deep down most of them don’t even agree them with their selves but want to be perceived as a hard-ass-hang’em-high-for-justice type of person. I think those who aren’t conservative hypocrites and actually believe that other races, women, people on welfare, etc. are actually inferior are the worst kind of people.

Now don’t get me wrong. I agree with some of their ideas. I support the 2nd amendment, dislike political correctness, and value personal liberties more than anything. I just hate the idea that everything has to be strict and unforgiving. With the amount of racism that goes with it these days, I find it deliciously ironic that republicans freed the slaves. It’s almost as ironic that most of them claim to follow the teachings of Christ, not that I’m a Christian.
The bullshit liberals aren’t much better. The conservatives think that only a select few deserve freedom, while the liberals seem to want to give up their freedom altogether. God forbid someone gets their feelings hurt or says a prayer in school. How they can claim to be against prohibition (like I am) but still want to ban guns is as hypocritical as anything a conservative has ever said or done. Again, I agree with a good many liberal and conservative ideas, but taken as a whole both political schools of thought suck a big, fat horse dick. I find it appalling that these two ideologies are our only real choices when we vote, assuming we have a choice at all. Sometimes I find myself wondering if there’s much of a point in voting.

I guess if I had to chose a political affiliation, I’d invent my own. I’d call it libertarian-anarchism. I think we should be allowed to do whatever we want as long as it does no harm to anther person. Why is it that I seem to be alone in thinking this? Maybe it’s just human nature to need to be controlled. After all, I’m guilty of allowing others to control me. Maybe there’s no such thing as freedom. We are all slaves to something, I suppose.

I agree with your points entirely. The fact that we really only have two major political parties to vote for still blows my mind. When voting, you always that "lesser of two evils" mentality.

Agreed.
